The Copper Nickel Short Weld Neck Collar is a compact, short-pattern version of our standard welding neck collar, designed with a reduced hub length for installations where axial space is limited — such as tight equipment nozzles, skid-mounted piping, retrofit projects and congested engine-room or topside piping arrangements. Manufactured in CuNi 90/10 (UNS C70600) and CuNi 70/30 (UNS C71500), the short weld neck collar delivers the same corrosion resistance and weld integrity as the standard pattern in a smaller physical footprint.
Short pattern collars are manufactured broadly in line with MSS SP-43 short-pattern stub end proportions and DIN 86037 short-hub welding neck collar geometry, giving specifiers a cost-effective, lightweight option that reduces both material usage and installed weight — a key consideration in marine and offshore weight-sensitive applications. All short weld neck collars maintain full ASME B16.5 flange face compatibility for correct assembly with standard loose flanges.

Short Weld Neck Collars are specified when axial installation space is limited — for example, close to equipment nozzles, in compact skid piping, or in retrofit projects where pipe run length cannot be extended. The reduced hub length also saves material cost and weight compared to the long/standard pattern.
Yes. Short pattern collars maintain the same flange face diameter, bolt circle and raised-face dimensions as standard pattern collars per ASME B16.5, so they assemble correctly with standard loose backing flanges — only the hub/overall length is reduced.
Standard grades are CuNi 90/10 (UNS C70600 / CW352H / CuNi10Fe1Mn) and CuNi 70/30 (UNS C71500 / CW354H / CuNi30Mn1Fe). Special grades including C70620 and C71640 are available on request.
Short Weld Neck Collars are available from ½" NB (DN15) to 24" NB (DN600) as standard, with larger sizes up to 48" NB manufactured on request.
